American Friends of Reuth

American Friends of Reuth supports the work of the Reuth Association in Israel – a renowned nonprofit organization that manages and operates a rehabilitation hospital, subsidized community housing for the elderly, and a network of senior homes.

To enable seniors to age with dignity by providing housing and personalized social services at Reuth’s subsidized community housing and senior homes in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Reuth’s New Campus

Reuth TLV has long outgrown its present facilities in the Yad Eliyahu neighborhood of Tel Aviv. The current location can accommodate only about 20% of the individuals requesting hospitalization. The lack of space also prevents the hospital from adding needed features, such as a hydrotherapy pool.

In response to these challenges, Reuth, in partnership with the Tel Aviv Municipality, is embarking on an exciting journey of building a new state-of-the-art campus by the sea, in northwest Tel Aviv. The new hospital will include cutting-edge facilities and advanced technologies, bringing Reuth TLV’s infrastructure in line with the excellence of its staff.

Leading the Way

Reuth (originally Women’s Social Service) was founded in 1937 in Tel Aviv by a group of women pioneers. It began as a humble organization that addressed the basic needs of new immigrants, older adults, and individuals battling illnesses, later providing housing and medical services to Holocaust survivors.

Thanks to our friends in the US and around the world, it became a leader in rehabilitation, and services for seniors.
