Talia and Zohar, Reuth TLV

Talia is a movement therapist and Zohar is a gardener. Zohar worked right next to Talia’s house. One day, she asked him for advice on a house plant and the rest is history. They have been married for 22 years.
At the end of October, Talia felt unwell during an aerial acrobatics lesson.
“I received a call that Talia wasn’t feeling well. When I arrived at the gym, Talia was on the floor. She said a few words and then lost consciousness. In the ambulance on the way to the hospital, the paramedics warned me that it was likely a stroke. Talia was admitted to the intensive care unit, sedated, and put on a ventilator. After 10 days, Talia woke up to a different world. Her right side was paralyzed. She couldn’t walk and had difficulty speaking.
In November we arrived at the Reuth Tel Aviv Rehabilitation Hospital, where Talia was hospitalized for six months. Today, she continues to receive treatment in its Day Rehabilitation Center.
I’ve been with Talia 24/7 for 9 months – taking her to treatments, preparing her food, helping her in the shower, and more. I know her skincare routine and everything she needs. Talia is already walking and recently started telling me what to do, which is excellent. Every small improvement is a step toward success. We focus on what we have, not on what is missing. Talia is here, she is alive, she is aware, she is with me, and I love her.”
